The latest record from El Michels Affair (aka Leon Michels), Adult Themes, consists of original compositions influenced by cinematic sounds of the 60s. Inspired by the visuals of this time period and playing off the title of the album itself, we hand-made collages from vintage pornographic magazines. These colorful, rich compositions were paired with an elegant graphic system that evoked typography of cinema past. The final packaging included a special edition vinyl with a “peep hole” die cut on the front revealing the R-rated collage on the inner sleeve.
